What to expect
First visit

Root Canal
Root canal treatment is a crucial dental procedure that aims to save teeth affected by severe infection or damage.
The procedure involves numbing the area with local anesthesia, creating an access point to the tooth’s pulp chamber, removing the infected tissue, shaping and cleaning the root canals, and filling them with a biocompatible material. Finally, the tooth is sealed with a filling or crown to restore its strength and function. At our practice, we utilize the advanced WaveOne system, which allows for efficient and precise root canal treatment, typically completed in just one visit for most cases. However, in instances of severe infection or complex anatomy, additional visits may be required to ensure thorough treatment.
Following root canal therapy, the affected tooth may become weakened due to the removal of its internal structure. To reinforce and protect the tooth, a dental crown is often recommended.
